Obviously, Mandie's account has been deleted and blocked by Jeff. Jeff was going to post about this subject this morning but someone beat him to it. This board and it's members are better than that so please drop the issue. You are only feeding into her little world by talking about her. Yes, she duped a lot of people, even me for a bit but something in my heart said not all of her story was true. I will let Jeff explain. Please do not post about Mandie any longer as we have bigger and better things to take care of. A BIG THANK YOU to the slueths who uncovered her dirty little secrets. Any future posts concerning Mandie will be pulled. Please PM myself or Jeff if there are issues about her as she can still creep on the board.

I know that you do not want us to talk about this on the forum and I completely understand that, but I do know that, as someone who was very emotionally invested in this person, it has been almost therapeutic for me to talk to others so that I can actually move on instead of dwell on it.

Please email me I can't find your email address. I just sent her some clothes and things from my kids last year that I was going to sell at my mom to mom sale this weekend because I had no money to send her but I figured that she could use the clothes and thing so I sent those to her. I just want to know if you know what she is going to do with all that stuff if she has no kids. I am so mad. I pmed Tiffani a few days ago after I sent her the stuff because I just did not feel right about it but I refused to think she was a faker because I was once accused of passing my "twins" off as surviving triplets so I gave her the benifit of the doubt. I am so stupid...

I KNEW IT! I was wondering about her faking because I am 25 minutes from Baton Rouge and pm'd her several times, offering clothes or diapers. I just didn't want to start anything so I kept to myself.

Sad that we all opened our hearts and some our wallets to her and yet not surprising in hindsight...it's amazing what you "see" when you think back on something once it's exposed...I had some suspicions for awhile when emailing back and forth with her, but was giving the benefit of the doubt since she'd been around for so long...I don't usually fall for people, but this time I did and it just reconfirms why I don't like to help people I don't know...even though I want to and would give what I had to help someone else be a little better off...sad, just really sad that someone is that desperate or off to take it to this extreme...Does she get the award for longest and most consistent faker?? She has my vote!

I'm curious also... (she had no triplets or no financial probs?)
I've given to others on this board (financially, and baby stuff) though not to Mandie, and am curious as to how she was found out.
It is very disheartening, though not surprising, that people would do this! Unfortunately it will make people think twice about helping others on this board in the future.

No we had one other that was here for a couple years if I remember, two actually. One that turned out to be a teenage girl (who admitted it over the phone and then in email after being confronted by a board member. I believe someone spoke to her parents as well, but don't hold me to that.
The other was I am not sure was here as long but had an elaborate story of loss and faked both the husband and wife account. One of them was supposed to be in the military and had lost a spouse in a plane crash. The recount of the story of the crash on the bereavement was discovered as a fictional story somewhere else, word for word. This one also admitted it after being confronted.
Those were two long standing that emotional coned many many members. Not sure which disgusts me more, the financial con or emotional one.
