Mary Neddo Dunbar I agree. That is completely insane that the hospital does not know the name of the agency they hired. Furthermore, the agency will absolutely know the first and last name (at the very least) of the nurse that is employed with them. They will also have SS number, DOB, and address. This just does not add up. Praying for youto get some answers soon.

Praying for Memphis I never said they didn't know the name. I said Pitt hired them. They are the ones that work with them most often. Akron doesn't use them so the don't know who they are. I gave the police and Cps their info and info I had for her. That is all I can do.

Jonna Borough Wilson If no one has her last name, how does she get paid? There has to be an employee file somewhere that will have all the information they would need to find her. Even working as a respite worker, I had to have all my clients sign my timecard, which had all my information on it. Without that, I wouldn't have been paid.

Memphis part 3 Nurse unknown
Praying for Memphis Sorry guys I talked to CPA and Hubbard township police yesterday. They are trying to track down the nurse. Seems no one knows who the nursing agency is and we only her first name. Police are talking about child endangerment charges. He is doing good today and we should go home on monday. Also they found out he has brittle bones but doing tests to find out why.

I mean, I know there's a lot going on and you have a lot on your plate but before I let anyone into my home to care for a medically fragile child I would have a little more info on her than her first name. If he has brittle bones then it wouldn't be negligence on anyone's part. Kids with that disease break just from sitting for long periods of time. What about the brain bleed? You should have been given copies of the background check and drug test BEFORE she was allowed to start. This happened yesterday, all parties involved, parents, siblings, agency, nurses, anyone that's had any contact with Memphis should have been questioned by now. You don't get a brain bleed from brittle bones! Someone hurt this innocent child and that someone needs to pay, dearly!

Sometimes it takes someone from the outside, looking in to talk it out and trigger that one... piece of paper that you remember sticking in that out of the way place or that one conversation where something was said. The people here all have a very vested interest in Memphis and want what's best for him just as much as you do. He has been through way too much to deal with all of this, he needs to be able to rest and be happy.

I'm the daughter of a police officer so I can understand them having to question all parties involved. There could be a simple explanation, another child accidentally falling on him...anything but that won't be known until they investigate. What's going on with the brain bleed? Any info on that yet?

Samantha Long I hope that things calm down for you and your family soon. I pray for your family all the time. The constant injustice that you guys have been through is heart breaking. One of my twins has a chronic illness and we spend too much time dealing with medical professionals. I can not even imagine what a toll all this has taken on you mom!!! I'm sorry that this had to happen to anyone, but especially to you who have been through too much!

Memphis Part 2 brain bleed
Praying for Memphis
Cat scan came back that Memphis has a brain bleed on the left side of his head. Bone scan is not back yet. They are also waiting for a neurosurgeon to see if they need to do surgery on his head. May have to move him to Cleveland.

Nurseing company saying they think the nurse would have said if she dropped him. I talked to her and she said she doesn't know how it happened. If she is a home nurse, she had to be checked out and many people rely on them to be at home while the parent, and in some cases ( in elderly care) the children go do what needs to be done. Memphis Part 1
Not on Triplet Connection but lets follow the Saga of Memphis. This is a real little boy who we only wish all the best for in lift. However, something just doesn't add up with the parents. So much of their story and combativeness and anger with anyone who questions them or suggests they do anything different is just a red flag. I will tell the early story from when I was first alerted to this story because she pulled any post that disagreed with her approach or suggested she handle the situation different. Anything that didn't tell her that her aggressive approach was the way to go "wasn't supportive and we don't have time for non supportive people".
I will ask someone who has followed the story to give a more detailed background. But basically Memphis is one of infant triplets who needed a transplant. Was in the hospital but Mom wanted the hospital to release or transfer AMA. Mom says she went to court and won but the hospital refused to transfer him in violation of court order. (I stopped reading for a while) Now he has been released home and 12 hours after being home the home health nurse has broken his leg,back and caused a brain bleed. But nobody knows the name of the nurse or nursing agency. The police are looking for her.

Can someone tell me how a 9 month old that does not walk or crawl yet and is in a nurses care for 12 hours ends up with a broken leg?

Praying for Memphis Memphis was admitted to Akron children's tonight when I Realized he screamed everytime you moved his leg. Dr thinks he might have been dropped. X-ray shows broken fibia bone. They r doing a bone scan tomorrow to make sure nothing else is broken. Needless to say there is no more home nurse.

Praying for Memphis I don't know what happened. The nurse said he started acting like that after his bath. He isn't confined to bed, he gets a ton of blood work every week to check all theses level, he had bloodwork last night everything was normal. He gets vitimans added bit to his formula plus bit drops and extra iron bit d and vit c. I am sure it's not his diet. I just don't know...

Levels are alright and checked on a regular basis. I cannot believe how much this little guy has gone through in such a short amount of time ....he is going to have quite the story to tell when he is older how he overcame anything that was thrown at him. God has a plan for him and I am starting to thing it is a big plan too!

Michelle Matyi I know a baby this happened to. The dad had him on his lap and the baby suddenly jumped/rolled and the dad tried to catch him and ended up grabbing his leg and it broke. In a situation like that, it was a total accident, and accidents can h...appen. But you would think that a trained nurse would realize something was wrong and let you know to get that baby some help. Sorry to hear he is going through this. And I would definitely report the situation to the nurses supervisors and whatever authorities need to be involved. Having an accident is very different than trying to cover it up by not mentioning it.See More

Sharon Warrick That is awful news....am so very sorry to hear it! I would be highly suspicious of the care that was given by that nurse! Not all nurses are good nurses, I am a nurse and have run into quite a few nurses who I would not trust! The bone scan should tell a pretty good story!! Glad you have him at Akron Children's, we had very good experiences there with my grandson when he had to go through chemo...I wish you much luck and hope that little guy heals quickly...please keep us posted! Jennifer Flynn OMG. Ashlyn's physical therapist broke Ashylyn's femur during a session at home. The therapist was being way too rough on Ashlyn and it happened in a split second. The good thing (i guess) is children bones heal very quickly and easily. Praying for you and Memphis. Im stressed out enough by the whole situation, it must be a million times worse for you after the last year.

And, as we are learning, he has a brain bleed so it seems more to... the story. The nurse, even if his bones are delicate (which, as I stated earlier, other bones would have broken sooner) he would have cried tremendously, so that nurse would have known if there was an accidental break. Hiding it seems to me that it was an intentional act (at least the hiding part). This makes me sick! THIS BABY HAS BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH!!!!!!Yesterday at 1:01pm.

Michelle Matyi Dana, yes, the baby was about ten months. And I agree with you. Those parents knew immediately something was wrong, and this nurse should have too. However it happened, it should not have been ignored. And now with the new results, this is just totally unbelievable. This baby has gone through enough and should not have to worry about anything else.
