Weds was C's UGIw/sbft. The radiologist (with a very bad accent) kept asking me about his lung. I told him that as far as I know there is nothing wrong with it. The gi showed nothing. They tole me the baruim would cause constipation which he already has.

On thursday the SW called and said another nursing company was interested in Bren's case. They called and we made an app for today. Later that day another company called, this is the one I called and they want to evaluate Bren so they are going to do that tues. I feel very positive that Bren will be coming very soon.

Fri i saw bren shortly because our appt ran over and I needed to get groceries. While shopping C all of sudden starts having a fit. I thought the the overcom had scared him. Took him out of the cart and he kept crying. I took him to the car and felt his diaper and there was a very hard poo there. He was having an issue getting out. After it was out he was fine. It was as hard as a rock. I decided that since his eating has sucked for the last week that I would take him the er.

I waited forever and that was unusual because babies with needs like his usually get in quick. Waited even more. They decided to do an x-ray and found that he as very backed up, which explains the lack of appetite. They tried to give him an enema and it failed.

The doc came back in and asked me about his lung? I guess his left lung looked like there was fluid around it and the x-ray the did caught the very bottom of his lung. They did a shunt series and chest x-ray. He has fluid around his left lung because his shunt has migrated. It is called VP shunt migration in pleural space and pleural effusion. The neurosurgeon was called and it happened to be C's dr. He said that they would not need to do a repair because sometimes they place the shunt in that area. Well they called pulmonolgy and they said it would have to be fixed because the fluid will eventually interfere with the growth of his left lung.

So to sum it all up. Christian is very constiptated which explains the not eating. Er doc does not think he is FTT because he was very active. Said he looked great for a 26.5 week ex-preemie triplet. He will need surgery eventually for the shunt migration. I need to make a appt with his neurosurgeon.

Bren is doing great and has two agencies interested so he should be coming home very soon.

GOOD FOR YOU! I am glad to hear the good news. I hope things continue to go well for Brennan and that Christian gets in to have his shunt replaced soon and is back to normal after that. Good luck and I really hope things keep going in the right direction.

BTW, did they give you anything for C's constipation? My oldest DD has really hard, poops, that often pass the size of a baseball after many tinier harder turds. We give her a prune every day and they seem to help. She really likes the Sunsweet Ones b/c they are individually wrapped and so they stay fresh and sticky, and she thinks they're candy!

She is refering to the offer that Amy made to take guardianship of your son until you were able to line up nursing. She already has nursing for her son. She is in LA.

Here you go. It conveniently disappeared this morning for some reason. Nothing offensive or against TC rules so I don't know why it would have been removed unless someone demanded it. But if you say you didn't see it and ask for it to be removed then I don't know what the issue would be so here you go. HTH

I made a legit offer on the post that seems to have been pulled. (Surprise)

So hopefully you will see this and this post will not be pulled.

I have nursing for my son. It breaks my heart to think of Brennan in a hospital environment still.

I would take guardian ship of him until you could get nurses lined up where your at or get moved to where you can get some nursing.

I'm in L.A. County, not close, but not too far away.

My son spent the first 15 months of his life in a hospital. He is a totally different kid and has made huge strides upon getting into a home environment.

I remember her. Her offer is awesome. Bren can be home by June if we go with the agency that came today. I have another meeting with another agency tues. I love my son and LA is too far for him to go from his family especially his brother. Bren is a very social little guy and you would never know that he spent that much time in the hospital. When Bren leaves Bernardy it be to go home. We have gotten alot quicker results that last time.

And I have had quite enough of the comments such as "Not to mention with a loving family!"

FYI Christian has almost downed another 8 ounce bottle and he had a good poop from his er laxative. I am so glad that he will finally gain weight and eat again.

Get over yourself Valerie! You are are one of the people who always think that the world is out to get them.

My comment was simply that he would be at a home with a loving family instead of a hospital! LOL I sooooo feel for your children.

If you have had enough of the comments, then quit posting! It is obvious that we are all tired of the complaints when you aren't willing to help yourself!

We were giving him prune juice but it was not enough. So they started on miralax. I am not sure what they gave in the er but he had a nice poop and has already eaten 8 oz today.

I'm sure you already saw it, but, in the event that the nursing doesn't come through, you had a VERY generous offer. Amy offered to have your son stay with her since she already has a nurse in her home for her son.

It really is worth looking into to put your son in a home environment! Not to mention with a loving family!
