I have had two friends email me today asking about a new multiples forum that sent them an email but it was addressed to their TC User name. One hasn't been here in a long time but knew I am here on and off so she asked me if I knew if it was legit. Her name could only have come from here at TC and was addressed to her User name. Anyway it was addressed from Kerry and Jenell Mann. Anyone know if this is legit? Are we having someone trying faction off yet another board and using the TC user list as a contact list to spam? Others getting this email? I would include the email but don't want to give free advertising to someone else on TC.

Yeah, it's legit. They're members here at TC too and have triplet girls that are a few months old (I think.) Kerry works with computers or something and he started the multiples network thing. I guess they're trying to recruit and are using TC.

Wow, I didn't know when I signed up for TC that I would be solicited for anything. I will be deleting the e-mail if I get it. I wonder if Jeff has approved the use of his site for this.

How are you receiving these? You can send other users email from your inbox. Their email addresses shouldn't show up. Now, if you email them back from the email address you received it at, then they will have your email, make sense???

It's a direct email from their address to mine. I actually got it twice, once this morning and once this afternoon.
I also don't see the need to join another forum. This one is great.
I remember her writing a post a few months ago about their new forum.

Yeah I got that too, actually I got two of them today. I saved one for future reference and delete the other. I did not ever respond to it or click on any links. I think they have a blog manntriplets something.

I don't understand the need to yet another forum. I actually thought it was another faker looking for info on members when I read the emails. Which is why I started this thread.
Triplethefun04 I hadn't received it just sent email from other users about it asking if I had received it also. So it could be alphabetical.
Laurene I am with you. I don’t want to be included in the list. I don’t see the need for yet another list. My kids are school aged so what does someone with newborn triplets has to offer that I can’t get at one of the numerous currently established sites.
It does concern me though that a member is doing this. It #2 on the user agreement:

I got it twice, within minutes of each other. They e-mailed me through my website over the summer as well. I'm just not interested, so I haven't persued it or acknowledged it in anyway.....

Even if she is real - I can't believe that anyone with newborn trips has time to mass email and/or start up another triplet site. I was lucky to get a shower a day, let alone check email or function past babies...oh and remember to eat!

I too received this message, and although I'm happy for those of you who have triplets that are safe and healthy, I was not so fortunate - and my triplets are in heaven. Not all triplet pregancies have a happy ending. Jenell, if you are reading, please be sensitive to this in the future and avoid mass mailings when you don't understand how much pain a simple message can cause someone you don't even know.
My username for this forum is my real name, and I don't use it anywhere else - so I know you or your web geek husband somehow got my username & email address from TC.
I come to TC for support from others who understand the excrutiating pain of losing 1 or all of their beloved triplets. This site has helped me tremendously, and it's inappropriate to exploit its loyal membership to further your own endeavors.
I respectfully DEMAND that you REMOVE me from your list!

I got this as well so obviously they have made it to the j's! Has anyone actually reported this to Jeff and Janet other than just in this post?
I agree it is pretty crappy to be using this board and it's members this way. I had no idea there were other concerns and I agree that there is NO WAY in heck I would have had time with infant triplets to put together and e-mail so many people. How insane.

If you have your email in a profile....take it off if you don't want to be spammed....
and instead of bothering Jeff and Janet..contact the Manns and tell them to stop!I just popped over to their web page and no one has left them a message saying that they don't want to be included on their list or that people here are offened that this is the way they are being contacted.

You have to register to leave a message on their website. I didn't want to go over to their blog to leave a message about because I assumed it had ads like their message board. This gives them ad revenue for the number of hits the site receives. So I didn't want to give them the satisfaction of checking out their sites anymore than that one click that I regretted when I saw the ads. Call me cynical but I believe that is what this whole mass emailing is all about. Earning them advertising money from their new sites from everyone that clicks over to check it out. So if someone really wants to check it out leave a nasty note from me while you are there and kill two birds with one stone because I won't add anymore hits to their sites.
You know other people have started other sites to help multiples parents since I have been here. But they had a different function than TC (like the same age groups) but they never needed to recruit in this manner. It was an idea that others wanted as well and word of mouth was sufficient. AND it never intended to to take away from TC like this seems. Most I know are in a yahoo group (like myself) and on TC. If I wanted to be in a message group with a bunch of twin moms as well as triplet moms I could go to Ivillage/Babycenter/twinmag I could go on and on and on.

First lucky for me I don't use the e-mail account I originally signed up here with.
Second I think it is one thing if we get spam from people who some how got our e-mail address from here. But an entirely different thing that a memeber of TC is using to spam members here.
Is Jennell being allowed to continue being a member here? I think this is something that the mods need to address with their members as it seems most everyone who has replied does not want to be bothered by this other member.
And more then one e-mail being sent I think should be looked at for possible harassment.

Andrea I am so sorry for you losses. Your post made me realize that this mass emailing is more than just annoying for some of the registered members of TC. Many who may not visiting TC anymore and be blindsided by this solicitation. I am very sorry.
I emailed Jeff asking they removed their user name for violation of the user agreement. Also to ask them to cease using the TC user list. My concern in the user of the TC list and C user names makes it appear approved and sanctioned by TC to some.
I also send an email to Kerry and Jennell telling them people were upset and I took the above actions. If they want to start their own multiples network then best of luck to them. But they don't need to steal the TC user list and spam us all. It is blatant violation of the user agreement and abuse of their membership.

Well I tried to email them but it bounced back. the address I was given as the sender of this email was jlustoff@yahoo.com Is there a typo in there? I haven't gotten this email myself yet.
I broke down and went to their site to see if I could find an email but couldn't. But I did see an entry that I was in total agreement with in the triplet community at the bottom of the page. If they are willing to misuse their membership and our info from TC then what are they willing to do with peoples info when they sign up on their site? Those of you thinking about signing up on their site think about that.

I have seen her posts on craigslist in my area. I am pretty sure they are real... Her latest one was looking for help in her house with the website attached at the bottom...

I got the same e-mail today. I found to be very annoying. I kept thinking great for you. Leave me alone. I don't have time for 2 triplet forums. Plus, I have special needs kiddos and really doubt that your going to give all that money to the Ronald McDonald house.
